I took my granddaughter to KFC today, I think it's the first time I've been in one. They gave me a box with about six pieces of chicken in it, and a little bag containing a few chips, as that, apparently, is what I had ordered. I know this site is American, but I refuse to call the chips "fries". It all tasted pretty much okay, I suppose. But not long afterwads, I started to feel a bit grotty, and have continued to feel grottier as the day has gone on. I don't have an upset stomach or anything, it is just a feeling of overall grottiness.
Shouldn't they put some kind of warning on their products telling you that eating them might cause grottiness if your system isn't used to them? I don't intend to let my system become used to them, btw.

KFC doesn't serve french fries in the usa so i cant comment on how they taste or what you call them or why you would get french fries with chicken from KFC. KFC sucks to begin with. I thought chicken was banned in the u.k. until you mentioned them.

secretagent09: The best fast food is Wendy's and Chick Fil-A.
I don't think we have either of those over here. Today's experience has just reinforced my general attitude towards fast food. It's better to stay away from it altogether.

secretagent09: Yes you do have Wendy's.
The article says there are three planned to open here. They are all going to be in the south, and I live in the north. Although I daresay they will soon be all over the place if they are successful.

KFC is not known for it chips/fries. Your supposed to get the mashed potatoes and gravy and the coleslaw for sides like it was served to everyone in the old days.

Exactly Karl. Best coleslaw and gravy in the fast food lane.

I had a friend who worked at McD. One day she said she left out a frozen serving of nuggets. She forgot and when she came back hours later it was just a pile of goey gooo.

I can imagine, Merc. As a delivery driver I've seen one or two kitchens of restaurants and take-aways in the cold light of day, and I think that is the main reason I rarely eat out.
