Or others saying "I really like your profile and blah blah blah we could be a good match blah blah blah" ... my profile says not looking so they obviously didn't read it ...
In my opinion, the best messages are those that stand out either because they're witty or interesting and it shows they read your profile...

I see you got some good tips on messaging. I would like to add when you end your email, end it with a question. Not how are you though 
Ask something about their area? Or what do they like to do? Also do not send personal emails addresses etc. in first email. I do not usually date. I had a guy a while back message me on another social forum and ask me if I would go out with him. We had friends in common in our area. He also said he was fun. That got my attention. I love fun 
sadly he was not. We managed one very nice date and some really sad phone calls. He was not responsible. I like responsible people.
