I have the mountain selected, a hillside in Italy.
Land and houses are cheap there.
Mine is on a mountain in the outskirts of Málaga. Moved there 13 years ago. Living in a village but I have many friends who are out on the mountain totally self-sufficient.
My house has a garden where I often grown vege and I could keep a couple of hens and what used to be the animal quarters on a different level under the house with a separate entrance where the goats and donkey used to live once upon a time. The donkey built-in feeder is still there. May be I'll get myself a donkey if the world runs out petrol
