First date are important. Asking general questions are best. Get to know him first. Asking very personal or intimate questions would not be a good idea like how much your monthly salary?

I always make sure to take the time to ask the most horrible/tough/embarrassing/inappropriate/intimate/personal questions I can think of, BEFORE that first date... If I don't like any of the answers, then there's no first date...
I remember being asked......How many relationships have you had since your divorce?
As for what would I ask........I make a point of getting to know as much about him as possible BEFORE the first date. The things he is hiding will eventually come out.

I found it funny even though I had a relationship with a guy who was HIV positive and have a close friend who has it too.
