oh, even the celebrity docs, Oz, for instance, waffle back and forth on foods that are good for you— one week eggs are good for you, the next, they’re not, followed by avocados, root vegetables, meats, wine, ad nauseum. I recommend good research, but in the final analysis, our bodies TELL us what we need. Tune in….we are wondrously made.

Yepp.. You're right Ro !!
Whenever it comes to food , people become sooo diverse , not only from one persons' view to another , but even from their own views from one time to another..
May be because it's all about Taste Buds !!
And when it comes to some complex or contradictory topic like KETO , it creates more controversy and confusion ...
A friend does/did it. He lost weight, keeps going with it. He has other health issues so I can't blame Keto, but to me he looks worse than he did having a tummy.
It's very restrictive. I think eating less, with variety, would be more healthy.

I also think that a moderate balanced diet might be more convenient for most people than extreme diet plans like KETO..
I've also found some infos saying that KETO is not for those , who all ready have some kind of liver , kidney , heart related or other health issues :hmm:
Hi Tanzila, nice to e-meet. To me, I would say, everyone is different. and your last comment, yeh if you have some underlying conditions, the whole subject changes as well already. Personally, my tummy would act up if I'd eat meat every day. He doesn't support that, at all I mean, he'd just go on war times lol For me, best is regular physical exercise, (short and long in interval), eat lots of fruit and veggies, less carb but I need bread every now and then; I cannot survive on fruit and vegg only. Also, I'd watch the ingredients list on processed food. Most processed food is not for human consumption basically (and try to feed it to animals, lol they not eat it, either). All the e-nrs, acids, added non-natural substances like fake-fat, glutamate, glucose-fructose syrops, the body cannot break it down as it does not recognize it and it either settles somewhere in the body, or damages things on the way out. That said, I guess I'll never become like Ghandi who ended up eating 3 rice grains per day.. Enjoy the day

Heyy Oinika
Welcome to CS Forums ...
I think , all the points that you've mentioned , are very true , specially in the context of our common lifestyle pattern in todays world ...
The "classical Keto" with lots of meat and fat is not healthy imo. Some cancer patients use keto and it can work in early stages for a cancer predominantly feeding on glucose, but in later stages, cancer feeds on cholesterol and amino acids as well.
For cancer patients, a "clean keto" without or very little meat is recommended. Keto is supposed to work well for brain cancer patients.
It would be too restrictive for me. I think it's also important to know any food intolerances - once I avoided these food groups, I lost more weight than I wanted.
I looked into which type of diet is the healthiest for me and eat a whole food, plant based diet with some fish and healthy fats.

I agree with you KN ...
That much Fat to digest on daily basis !! I don't think it will suit me either !!! My vote goes to a balanced meal as well
Mercedes_00: The thing is people don't need to exercise as hard as I do..If you exercise you need fuel which means we have the luxury of eating not diets and such
Once people go off diets they're back to where they started..I won't bore you with good Protein shakes & BCCAA'S ect
That's true ...
I've read before , that , heavy exercise and other heavy physical activity , itself is enough to maintain fitness , and when you burn extra calories , you'll need to recharge yourself as well...

Those who don't want to go for a simple brisk hour walk or pick up the lightest weights ect are lazy..
I exercise for toning purposes..When people use cardio to lose weight they need to use weights to tone muscle..Swimming is fab..Using weights in the pool is fab as your back doesn't ache and things like that..You work out at your on pace..Jogging up and down the pool is fab..I better stop before I type a novel

Well... I know exactly how it goes with such lazy peeps !!

Yepp.. One of them is me
My point is if people want to change there body then by all means you have to work for it..You treat it like a relationship..There's no easy fix short cuts..If people want to waste their money on fads then that's on them..If people are happy being over weight then that's fine too..People concentrate too much on the outer shell..Yeah it's nice to be toned and taut wearing short sleeve dresses or skirts & a pair of nice shorts and so on..The most important thing isn't your outer shell..It's your inner shell like your visceral fat around your heart and so on that keeps us alive..Having a fab toned body doesn't keep us alive..It's all the buttons being pressed inside ones body that keeps us alive
I have a friend who is as skinny as a pencil..her cholesterol is so high she has to read every single word on a product that she buys to eat when she does her grocery shopping..People who are skinny who think they're healthy better think again!~
