The difference between misery and happiness depends on what we do with our attention. ~ Salzberg
So, should it be infer that we should be happier if we ignore all the trolls, haters, self assessed authorities on everything, ranters, bloviators, narcissists and astigmatic individuals that dominate in the cs forums and blogs?

In my opinion it depends whether you have a life outside of C.S. or whether you spend your life on here.
galrads: People don't like to read the truth and instead commiserate among themselves and you which explains why the forums are void of really fun people who have left cs. The forums used to be alive with less judgmental people unlike yourself. No on talked about hating jews and other good people. And if this thread goes down like a lead ballon.... just proves my point...
Now do the right thing (which I know you won't)
That old chestnut again Where is the hating Jews part of anything? Equal rights for all, not only those you deem worthy, that's why I use the word hypocrite when I speak of you and other self-righteous Americans on here.. JS

Nice tune
The truth is like a dead skunk in the middle of the road bro, you can walk away from it but it doesn't get any better. Stop the hate. Try to love one another instead.......

No hate from me, just love of all, most of you Americans can't handle the truth to be fair, and that's not being hateful, just being real..

I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself in. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition.

Ah the famous Martha Washington quote if I'm not mistaken.
The misery and happiness depends on your brains thinking capacity. You don't need to quote who said what since all humans have their own control in their brains. You don't need any PhD's either to distinguish misery from happiness. The brain's conscious level is about 20 % and unconscious level is somewhere 80%, this means if you feed your brain positively under happiness then the 80% will kick in and remind you what you fed into your brain, and if you feed your brain negatively under misery then the 80% will keep on reminding you all the miseries are there to fall into. So, simply said, feed your brain with positive thoughts and happiness will be there for you at 80% unconscious level . You can be your own psychologist too if you choose to be, cause they are not from another planet.
