Really glad you opened this thread. I’m very determined to have a wonderful, beautiful Christmas and a great, productive and pleasant 2022. Last night I had the nicest dream in a long time— folks were agreeable, getting along, all that jazz. Lately I have found myself gravitating toward apathy, melancholy, which I do NOT like, or want for myself. So, in spite of all the current problems and worries of the world, I am starting each day with sincere thanks and a prayer for optimism and a desire to embrace life with enthusiasm. This plaque is near my front door:000
I got up early one morning, and rushed right into the day
I had so much to accomplish, that I didn’t have time to pray
Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task
Why doesn’t God help me?, I wondered—
He answered, “You didn’t ask”
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on gray and bleak
I wondered why God didn’t show me
He answered, “But you didn’t seek”
I tried to come into God’s presence, I used all my keys at the lock
God gently and lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock”
I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day:
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray

WARNING ...RANT!
Those of you who are placing Christmas lights/decorations in your front gardens, can you please avoid anything that has Red or Blue flashing lights together? Every time I come around the corner, I think it's the police and I have a panic attack. I have to brake hard, toss my beer out the window, fasten my seat belt, throw my phone on the floor, turn my radio down, and push the gun under the seat, all while trying to drive.
It's just too much drama, even for Christmas.

Every time I come around the corner, I think it's the police and I have a panic attack. I have to brake hard, toss my beer out the window, fasten my seat belt, throw my phone on the floor, turn my radio down, and push the gun under the seat, all while trying to drive.
