There is no question, whatever our personal opinions of Diana, that she was adored by many and influential as a result.

Some may question the the manner of her death, whether it was accidental, a consequence of recklessness, or even murder, but let's work from what we know for sure: Diana died on the 31st August 1997.

Had the trajectory of her life continued, had she lived and maintained a relationship with Dodi Fayed, would the world be the same as it is today?

Would you be the same as you are today?

Yes, she created awareness and change.

Her challenging the stigma AIDS arguably created a paradigm shift, she was so powerful and influential.

Do you think the world would be same as it is now had she lived?

Nothing in life happens that does not have a knock on effect, just saying.

This lady still is having an effect on more than her sons too. Many people remember this lady who in my opinion was a fragile soul and needed to be cherished.

She is now in many hearts remembered for her humane nation and love she gave

I adored Diana because of all she believed in as far as the less fortunate were concerned.

As much as Diana had tremendous influence it wouldn't of been huge enough to change the world from what it is today..I do believe Diana would of accepted Harry's choice of wife with open arms & that there wouldn't be a rift between the brothers today

I would still be the very same person

Yes. Life has a will of its own not in the control of academia or the aristocracy, or the Fuhrer. The destiny of the world is within man, not one man or group of men, but in all men.

Does she continue to create change, even though she's been dead for nearly a quarter of a century?

,
I think every one of us alters the fabric of existence, some more than others

In response to: Do you think you would be the same as you are now had she lived?
I think I have been altered, by her existence, simply because her life impacted on my consciousness although not in a material way.

She has altered your outlook and prompted your questionJMO

Still an old democratic socialist I guess. Diana was a part time job most people would have done for far less money.

Anyway it's nothing on the influence of David Bowie. Turned down a knighthood on the merits of his ability. One of the most worthy celebrities ever to have lived, he actually did something and if anybody was right about the future it's him.

Well... I know about your Diana, because I've got to learn English and now maintaining it (need it for work). If I's using French or Inuit, I wouldn't even know her name, leave alone remember her so long after her death.

She meant nothing in my life and changed nothing in my life. I don't know, what'd happened if she lived. But there's no reason for me to be affected by someone, who was... what exactly? A tabloid darling, nothing else.

And I think a lot of what Diana was is now found in the Kardashian dynasty. But even here are our influencers are far more competitive. It's not like the old days of tv where they would watch somebody less interesting than the person next to them, and applaud like mad. We have options.

I think everyone who walks through this life changes it in some way. Be it large or small. I also believe that their death will impact change on those they touched that will contnue on. I would not be the same if she had lived and maintained a relationship with Dodi Fayed. Their presence as well as yours would shift change in the world. No matter how big or small. So no matter how big or small I would be shifted because of these presences. Example: If you were not here I would not be responding to your thread which means I would be doing something else. No matter how big or small. wave
I just gave myself a headache blues

Diana brought nothing but shame for the royal family.
2 sons by 2 different fathers .
Spent the majority of her time having affairs .
The charity work she done was purely for the media’s purpose.
Showed no remorse, or shame for her sons when she went gallivanting on exotic holiday breaks with different men .
Went on a TV show to try & justify her actions, blaming Charles for his lack of attention, which incidentally, fooled a lot of the public .

And perhaps what Diana was is a bit saturated by now. I'll bet William comes off better than Harry in these troubled times simply for not behaving like the times.

It seems your misogyny extends even our Queen of hearts, and the father of her two sons was Prince Charles.

Shame on youscold
