Tsubie52: My 5 year old grand daughter just had it. She had a positive test, low grade fever, sniffles and a bit sleepy. She's doing fine now but has to have a negative test for school. No symptoms yet for the rest of the family. It's very difficult to get tested lately. I had contact with her so I'm isolating myself for a few days. That was 4 days ago, no symptoms.
So good your 5 year old has had only mild symptoms, must have been so worrying ...

In Spain they're telling people who are testing positive but have no symptoms to return to work after 1 week of isolation and asking people to NOT get tested if they have no symptoms. Because they couldn't cope with the queues of people wanting to be tested out of fear rather than because they felt ill...

Thanks so much!
I'm more worried about her mother. She is the pharmacists and manager, works an average of 14 hrs a day. It's very stressful, for pharmacists as well as doctors and nurses. The company she works for have lost at least 8 pharmacists due to the stress and extra workload. I'm not getting a test, if I get it, I get it.

That's why you need to get the vaccination and respect the social distancing rules etc....,
Good post Blathin.

I'll reconsider my skipping of the booster.
Still am not sure if omicron is mild enough you see.
But actually I think booster + omicron is the best way
to end the pandemic, provided flock immunity exist.
