fantaziya: Maybe I am from a different culture ... but do you remember "Road to hell laid with a good intentions"
yeh, maybe.., but surely being sensitive towards someone else or having a bit of compassion and not wanting to hurt them (sometimes even more than they already are) is common to all cultures?
Remember it? Emmm....I know that's a pretty common phrase alright and it means something else, It's more personal, e.g. great intentions to go on a diet or something..but keep failing.... but that sounds like you might be talking about a film or something?

I cannot say for everyone. But in my World if I don't want to hurt someone I will, simply say nothing. It means exactly what is says. I really do no feel like to go philosophical. Just let it go.
In some instances swearing can be beneficial in reducing pain and stress. Guess it can help during painful medical procedures. I knew a Lamaze teacher who did a lot of swearing during the birth of her first child
