I am a Roman Catholic and I would like to talk or meet people, who have the same faith, as me. Have a fine weekend, regards Karin

I’m very, very familiar with The Roman Catholic faith. What is it you want to discuss?

I’ve been waiting to hear back. Since I haven’t, I’ll offer up a few of my observations and beliefs. The key to understanding is to have the heart and will for service. It’s not a negotiable, flexible faith. Pomp and circumstance. The core Mass is a lead-up to Holy Communion. (Eucharist). This is intensely important. Please understand that there are thousands of bits and pieces to Catholicism— I’m not trying to condense or water it down. Just highlighting some of the stronger areas. Rosary—for multiple occasions, one primarily for the late- departed. Many Catholics believe implicitly that praying The Rosary will have the specific prayers answered. The Stations Of The Cross—a physical concourse to remind patrons of the different events in Christ’s life. One actually navigates these dioramas in private Catholic grottos and parks. Mary— the biggest big-shot of all time, many Catholics concentrate on her, rather than God or Jesus. Thousands of statuettes are sold daily. There was a raging fad of 6 inch plastic Mary’s to set on your car dash. In the 1950 s you’d see them in almost every car. The bottom line, though, in my opinion, is the Catholic Faith wants patrons to fully, unquestionably embrace them, ask no questions, show up for duty, contribute as much as you can, go into the world and help the poor as much as you can…it’s about sacrificing what you want for what they want. Know what? It “works” for millions, or so it seems.

I was raised roman catholic and I value my k through 12 education in catholic schools. I have catholic friends who attended parochial schools for 8 years and then transferred to and graduated from public high schools.

They were surprised to be studying subjects in their freshman year in public schools that we studied in 4th grade in catholic schools.
