galrads: My enquiry about black teas is legit. I just had to add something stupid about England.
Ok . Stupidly aside … There are no greater health benefits from expensive teas , as there is to you every day English breakfast tea. It’s just a marketing ploy .
rohaan: I thought it was “ green tea” that was so good for you.
Tea is tea . It’s the herbal infusions that give it extra heath benefits, not the tea itself . You can add cinnamon or cloves to any tea to give it extra heat he benefits .
jac_the_gripper: I don't know about the health benefits, but I do like a nice malty Assam.
Do you use loose leaf or bags? According to uponatea web site this is a black classic Irish breakfast tea. It does sound good.
"ASSAM TEA This district in Northern India is the source of some of the finest black and British style teas; pure Assam tea is the classic Irish Breakfast tea. Assams are notable for their heartiness, strength, and body - if you're looking for a strong cup of black tea, this is it. The addition of milk will often enhance the more subtle flavor notes in Assam teas. Our loose leaf Assam tea is sourced from a variety of estates. Organic teas available."
Yes Tea is still extremely popular in England and UK.
Morning tea, afternoon tea, bedtime tea .
I do drink black tea. To make it more interesting add bit of honey, a very small slice of lemon or lime, cinnamon, cardamom, aniseed, mint leaf, ginger. Use only half a tea spon of tea.
Tailor tea to your taste.
In moderation tea is good. In any form too much caffeine is bad.

Might this be something like you are talking about tru, except this product is bagged instead of loose leaf.
Several things to consider regarding tea - whatever the type: First Organically grown is better for you than the 'everyday versions'> There are some dangerous pestacides out there, many have been banned in the US but NOT when they are used overseas and the final product is sold here. Residues of such chemicals MAY be 'passed' by the FDA but that does NOT mean they're safe! One of the mowt dangerous is "Glyphosates". It has caused thousands upon thousands of cancer deaths here in the US and is STILL being sold here as "Roundup". This may or may not be used in growing tea overseas. The second thing to consider is "Fairt Trade" or not. Are the field workers paid a decent wage or are the growers'raping them' financially and making all the money themselves? As to the teas and their benefits: You can easily get that info that is Truthful by going to a non-BigTech search engine like "DuckDuckGo" or "Ecosia" and type in something like "benefits of black and green teas".

galrads: I am looking for anyone's opinions based on evidence-based health benefits. And do they still drink tea in England?
I drink only loose leaf tea. Bagged tea is tasteless. It safes time to make it but an effect is -nothing, because they are over processed My favorite teas right now is Pride of Persia (by Tea Range), English breakfast (by Akbar) And green tea: Matcha powder (Japan) I use to like Gun Powder ( by Twining's and only in metal boxes) but can't find it anymore. I can talk about tea for hours, so I better shut up. But before I go Health: Black tea gives energy But strong brewed tea will give you constipation and anxiety symptoms Green tea is good to keep brain sharp because it has Theanine ( more then in Black tea ) which stimulates brain cells and Matcha tea is simply delicious
