"Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has used the historic milestone of her Platinum Jubilee to redefine the future of the monarchy, calling for the Duchess of Cornwall to be known as Queen Camilla when Charles becomes King.
When Charles married Camilla in 2005, the couple announced she intended to be known as "Princess Consort" despite having a right to the title of Queen. It was seen as a recognition of the sensitivities around a title that was destined for Charles' first wife, Diana."
Queen Elizabeth II during the funeral of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Because of coronavirus restrictions, only 30 guests were invited.
Geno2809: Have you ever heard why they have so many palaces/castles around the country?
Hi Geno
Her Majesty the Queen has plenty of royal residences up and down the UK, but there are two of them which stand out. Both Balmoral Castle and the Sandringham Estate are privately owned by the monarch making them extra special. All the others are owned by Crown Estates.

Crown estates are owned by the Queen, so I don’t see the difference, apart from the commercial aspect.
