This, no doubt, is supposed to induce me to go and buy it. I never do buy the book. I don't know how odd it makes me, but the fact that everyone else is doing something only makes me want to do it less.

What happens when the one thing we have in common is a fashionable sense of non-conformity? The modern day yielding an astonishing number of clans and little niches that would never be able to get on down at the pub. Will there even be a pub? Or football?
