Never been to Las Vegas but I did live in Carson City, Nevada for a year and worked at the 24/7 cafe as a cook at Harrah's Casino and Hotel, South Lake Tahoe. Harrah's had a great buffet restaurant that took up the whole top floor of the hotel. On Fridays was seafood day at the buffet and it had floor to ceiling windows with great views of the deep blue waters of Lake Tahoe and surrounding mountains.
Mushy peas are vile tasting, how anyone can eat them I don't know. Sometimes when I was a kid my mom would cook them for my dad, while we huddled together at the other end of the table to avoid the smell of them.

Sounds brilliant, we only have Chinese buffets here or a carvery, I always fancied a clam bake, they look so tasty, as I'm very fond of the clam..

I would have pan fried duck, roasted sweet potato and green beans with a dollop of sour cherry sauce..
