The UK has been hit with three storms in the last ten days. First we had storm Dudley, then along came storm Eunice and today the arrival of storm Franklin. Do other countries have names for their storms? I wonder what the next storm will be called, I'm going for Gertrude.

Whar's your guess?
Daisy.. Those recent names don't sound so destructive, Dino's inferno would sound more like it..

As a guess, I'm sure it wouldn't stand a chance, but I would suggest Gretel, which would, of course, be followed by Hansel, so two for the price of one.

Very good....get down the bookies and put a tenner on it...100-1 for the double?

You've forgotten the words Thunder and Lightning or is creativity at an all time low in GB?

Our rare thunder and lightening compared with everyone else's is like the difference between a Disney display and indoor fireworks. A single flash and boom in the night is the topic of conversation the next day.
Even tiles coming off the roof, or trees coming down in high winds are a fairly rare events.
Flooding is our nemesis. It rains a bit here in the UK.

Oh. Well I can't say as I'd enjoy that as much as a good thunder storm and a decent ain roof.
I wasn't aware that rain events had specific names in the UK. So I was right, there is a want for creativity under the somewhat constant downpour.
I've seen one in the distance and felt another go down my street here in Wales, but like everything in the UK, and especially Wales, they were miniature versions.
Big enough to be a little disconcerting, but no harm done.
