Because there was nothing preceding it, and no explanation after it. You said you love roast beef, as if you were answering a question that no one had asked you. That's what you said; "I love roast beef", and nothing else. You even put up a picture of it, as if you were very concerned that nobody should be left in any doubt about exactly what you were referring to.
