My first job in a restaurant was at a German Restaurant in Fishkill, NY called Karl Ehmer's Rathskeller. A year before I worked there a 300 pound beer truck driver put kegs of beer on a freight elevator that had no automatic doors or inner door. He pressed the button for the elevator to go down to the basement but it did not budge. So with one foot on the ground floor and one foot on the elevator floor stomping on it, it went down quickly. Half his body was on the main floor and the other half of his body was downstairs in the elevator.
One night I was left alone at the restaurant to clean up. I was putting clean silverware in bins in the dinning room. I witnessed a 200 pound round table for 8 people with settings on it go 5 feet up then drop and all the settings went flying everywhere and then I heard a deep loud laugh. I got the hell out of there. The next day they said the settings were set again on the table in the morning! The beer man poltergeist reset the table!

Ok Since Karl has told one of his stories I'll share one of the least weird of mine ...
Quite a few years ago, just after I bought the house I now live in, one day, I was talking to myself
and just as I walked passed the stairwell to walk into my kitchen, I was saying to myself "Oh my God! You are loosing your marbles!!" I then heard some noise behind me, turned around and there were several marbles bouncing of the ground up into the air and more falling from the top of the stairwell! It was like my marbles were being returned to me
I carried them in my pocket for a while to remind myself I wasn't loosing my marbles 
When I moved into the house I kept finding marbles all over the place from the little boy who lived there before. I had been saving them and putting them in a little cup place on a ledge at the top of the stairwell. Ahhhhhh that explains it all I hear you say! But no! It doesn't, because the cup was too sturdy to have the marbles fall out of it at the precise moment I said those words...

I once sang for Christmas Midnight Candlelight service in a Catholic Church in Dover Plains, NY. It was upstairs in the choir loft. I witnessed a closet door become unlatched and watched it slowly open all the way then close but without latching several times. A teenager in the choir noticed me watching this and said "that is just the ghost of Father Cody visiting us in the choir loft before service like he did when he was alive". Then he told the choir "Father Cody is here!" They all waved at the door and said "Hello Father Cody!" The door closed then it latched.

There's actually another story that doesn't sound too crazy and is rather beautiful ...
Many years ago, I was getting ready for bed and thinking about a particular person. In my thought process, I had just hit on the true meaning of unconditional love and how it feels when I caught off the corner of my eye, a glow that had just appeared in my bedroom. It looked and felt so beautiful I was scared to move in case it went away. I thought if I looked at it full on it would disappear, but it didn't. So I slowly got into bed without taking my eyes off it. The glow was actually getting bigger and I could feel its benevolent energy. I turned off the light still expecting it to disappear but it didn't. As I lay in bed the glow kept growing and expanding until it completely filled my bedroom and I was cocooned inside it. It was the most beautiful, serene, peaceful, protective, loving, energy and deepest well being I have ever felt. I fell asleep in this glow and woke up the next morning like a new person. Best sleep. Best rest. Renewed. Energised. It was the most amazing experience ...
