Well, this is loaded, because I believe that we all have some prejudices (unfounded) that we don’t admit to, even ourselves. Like, the other day I found myself painting a “mental picture” of this woman who sits by Freddie’s ( supermarket) with a cardboard sign— but I quickly remembered the ‘ judge not’ values. But I was “ deciding” what she was all about without really knowing her path, or failings, or circumstances. And, sadly, homelessness/ drifting is the last frontier of fairly unchecked discrimination. I really, really hope that I can genuinely become a man who is not bigoted. But we are human, and we miss the mark at times.
