I disagree ( surprise surprise) . Sometimes after a break up , you tend to think of all the nice things about the person & forget why you initially broke up in the first place .

Nope, I wouldn't break up with someone over something so petty I'd have it forgotten, I can still remember why I broke up with the boy from next door at age nine...or more accurately ran screaming out of the shed....

Agreed. Using emotion, we can remember words/phrases and events that went along with those emotions. I remember events all the way back to age 3 or 4. Though they are small bits of memory, not an entire day's worth.
