I don’t know about Europe, but my pantry, freezer, and supply areas are CHOCK FULL. Still, I’m not just sitting on laurels. Watching EVERYTHING like a hawk. I recommend it.thumbs up

galrads: And What is everyone doing to help others in this world who are starving today?

The head of the world’s biggest food aid agency has a stark warning for European leaders: Pay more now to stave off global hunger or suffer a migration crisis later.

Russia's war in Ukraine has sent a shockwave through international food markets, worsening the already dire problem of global hunger by disrupting supply and inflating prices. That risks tipping the poorest, most famine-ravaged regions of the planet into political chaos and creating an unprecedented migration crisis, according to David Beasley, the World Food Programme’s executive director.

What few in the west realise..is that the east has control over the world's commodities..the west doesn't......all it has is thuggery and money...and they dont feed the people...

So if the west keeps going the way it's going with Putin/China/the east then you can be sure europe is going to see shortages the likes of which it hasn't seen since ww2...

More the reverse. If you make money without having to make industry it tends to be a bit of a thug. Lots of oil is particularly akin to having an entire country on the dole.

Ten_of_cupss: I wonder how suddenly after a month of a military conflict the world has gone hysterical and food is the number one problem.
I believe it's part of the constant stress someone wants us to experience non stop.
Don't get too relaxed after Covid, there's more to come...
As a matter of fact just few years back farmers were throwing their production now some people are telling us there's food shortage...
That's a lie...
Even our government had the guts to tell us we are not short of anything...
While us in the west were throwing out food there were serious food shortages and as a result food protests and riots in many countries around the world..

Going back about ten years I can still remember a summer where there (simultaneously) seven cities around the world experiencing food riots (related to the price of wheat, which was soaring)..yet there wasnt a single word said about them on western news...

Emm not entirely sure why you think that Chesney because if you have food and can feed yourself you don't need money...on the other side, if you have money but no food then you have no choice but buy the food from those who do have it...you can't eat money...and if they say no then you're in trouble....

(you = a country)

And I'd point out that natural resources never did Africa any good. The rich fruits of the tropical centre are the recipe for not learning a thing in over 10000 years.

It seems ironic now because of first world problems but don't you know how the west was won? By people who faced tremendous odds again and again.

And I welcome the multi-polar world for this reason. We choose to go to the moon not because it is easy but because it is hard. This in contrast to the unipolar world where we choose to retreat into the womb. Necessity is the mother of invention.
