Generally speaking, yin is characterized as an inward energy that is feminine, still, dark, and negative. On the other hand, yang is characterized as outward energy, masculine, hot, bright, and positive.
traditional women in the 1950s had femininity in spades...they had great manners...were softly spoken..looked and dressed feminine...agreeable with their men..not competing with men..had great love and appreciation for men...but sadly this is rare to see in modern women and if i could build i time machine i would

I lived in that world as a young woman with how my father expected me to be agreeable to everything he said. And with my husband expecting me to stay in the background. Dare I to speak up and make a suggestion. Dare I to say "no". Dare I to forget to not ask permission. Dare I to have a female friend for dinner.
I was always feminine in the way I dressed. I still have a soft voice.

Selenite: Guys, what does 'femininity' mean to you? What does it evoke? How do you perceive it?
Femininity generally represents right brained activity which includes nurturing, and conceptual ideas of creation and manifesting from a pathway to subconsciousness. The sacred feminine is but one part of the whole, that being the partner to sacred masculine. The masculine represents passion and drive with more linear ideas that are generally left brained activity. The gender notations are really unnecessary because one well balanced person can possess and make use of both masculine and feminine. Since most of us have been trained by society to be feminine because of gender or masculine because of gender it's more common to find people with one side more pronounced in their behavior. With LGBT, gender plays no part whereas brain sidedness does.
Since this isn't a 'no private thoughts' website, I simply cannot tell you what the meaning of femininity evokes in me.

i want life with a woman to be very pleasant...not full of conflict...not full of arguments...not competing fiercely about things...i want a woman..who wants to please me...make me feel good...make me feel happy...make me want to think about her and no other woman...this would require many qualities and women in past...sure did have those qualities
