What is the difference between friendship and love? (4)
This is a true incident. In 2005, I was working in a company. There, my colleague (a girl) sent me this poem in the mail. I was surprised, because she was my friend's lover. I asked her that why did you send me such a sensitive poem. She didn't answer properly.
Then I stopped talking to her, and blocked her email id.
This poem may have been an ordinary poem for her but for me it was a very sensitive poem.

In my own experience. I actually fell in love with my American friend that I'd known for 10 years. I eventually went over to America in 2013 for 2 weeks, I went back there again 8 weeks later for 7 weeks "keeping it under my 90 days limit" visited 3 times per year there until the Pandemic hit. My last visit was for 9 weeks for Christmas and New Year 2018/19. I still love him to bits. We talk most night on the phone. I've gone through a stressful time moving back from Spain to the Uk "Lived in Spain for 15years" and moving back to the Uk from Spain was awful as it was happening through the pandemic. I know that moving to America will never happen, I'm too old to go through all the stressful time again. I know that I have to let my feelings go for my friend in America but we will always remain friends. I'm not looking for anyone on this site, can you imagine why? Then I stopped talking to her, and blocked her email id.

I think, friendship is a healthier relationship than love. But is there friendship between two opposite genders without turning into love?

If a girl sends this poem to a boy, then surely that boy will consider it as Love. But if the girl loves someone else and sends this poem to someone else (friend) then how should this poem be considered?
How to differentiate between friendship and love?
