I bought the cheapest toaster that Tesco sold, and after about six years it works just as well as when it was new; although it didn’t work very well right from the start. I can toast two slices of bread at once, but the slices must be square, or small, otherwise they won’t fit in the slots. Although the toasting time is adjustable, I have to turn over the slices of bread half way through the toasting process, otherwise they burn on one side and are barely toasted on the other.
Besides the time control there are three buttons on the toaster: One is labelled cancel, one defrost, and the other reheat. I have never used any of them, so I don’t know if they do what they are supposed to. There is also a knob that raises two arms above the toasting slots, so that you can place something directly over the heating elements, but what might be placed there, or why, I don’t know. The body of the toaster is made of white plastic, and looks okay from a distance. And that, I think, is as much as can be said about my toaster.
If this thread gets a good response, I may describe my kettle.

Just so you know they do an even cheaper kettle in B&M. And it's black which looks okay from less far away.
I have a sewing machine Singer 1953. With the table and the whole setup. This was just after they attached a little el motor on the side, no pedal. Now something happened so I bought another used one this time a Singer Samba. It was pure plastic and it held up some 2 nights...crap made in samba-land
Now I hand sew but if I'll fix one of them it will be the 53
Right, moneys worth! I use the grill feature on my own... only sometimes I forget it while texting nothingburgers at cs... and then only the smell reminds me
Marmalade55: I hear they are good; someone was singing their praises on another forum.
Yes, joking aside, theyre a great bit of kitchen kit. Very adaptable, you can even use it as a toaster.
Definately not the kind of kitchen appliance that gets used a couple of time then spends the rest of its days tucked away in a cupboard. In fact, I use mine almost every day.

You have roused my interest, bod, and I hope it won't end up costing me money.
