I've been reading about the nutritional value of insects, and how including them in our diet could help towards combating climate change. I have to admit a slight aversion to the idea of eating insects, but I also want to do my bit towards reducing global warming. The problem is, I really don't know where to start, so this is a kind of appeal for advice. Anyway, to kick off; does anyone have any suggestions on how one would go about preparing a brace of house flies?
The last emergence of cicadas here in Dublin Ohio was in June, 2021. They had to delay the play of the memorial golf tournament here because at one point it was difficult to find the players golf balls.

Stringy_Bob: I believe a major pet store has introduced insect based dog food, so if it's good enough for our four-legged friends it should be good enough for us.
Really? Should we go round sniffing and licking sh*it on the pavement and stuffing our noses against people's groins as well?
This not going to end well.....disturbing nature even more.... Insects for consumption probably factory farmed in some way.....gene editing and unnatural feeding....just to get an acceptable volume.....cant rely on a supply from the wild or it will be depleted..adding this to whatever is being done already to food.....and upsetting the fundamentals of nature.. ..in the so called interest of saving the planet....
How about start with using some marmalade to lure the house flies and then mix them just as added flavour in your marmalade !!
But be careful about the equation and ratio between the flies and marmalade though .. I mean , who knows , who's gonna eat whom at the end of (or beginning of) the day !!
