Youcannow: Hope is for people who wait for things to happen, rather than having the balls to to make it a reality.
Hope is ok but luck is usless to wait for. Like cannon say: life is what you make it. Sometimes you have to get back up in the saddle a few times but never the less, don't waste time waiting. Ride on.

That’s basically what I said , in not so many words
Cannon, can I ask u: if you knew what u know now at 20 what would you have dunn differently?
I know I'd take that architect education, invest some doe in Google stocks and never smoke a ciggi. Besides I'd be a marathon runner by nw instead of a sofa whale.

I've thought about this, too. I think, if I had it to do over, I would have concentrated more on my Biology degree rather than practical nursing, and worked for a Ph.D. in Biology, and then pursued a career in a small private college. For some reason, that appeals to me...I'm not at all "sorry" I entered the professional medical field; it provided a very stable (recession/depression proof) job at an above-average salary, lasted 31 years, and continues to "pay" in terms of retirement. I think being a professor of science at a college would have been more 'me'. Oh well, we get what we got.....

Not really . I’m content with my life . Just make the most of what you have . At least you have the the comfort of knowing that any woman you date will be with you for who you are , not how big in your bank balance is . .

Yea, private is often more exciting and dynamic. More chance of interestig work invironment. Ofcourse you can be unlucky with collegues but heck one can then change as you're sought after. I thought one time lawyer but glad I never went near it as it got nothing to do with fairness. I like design and creation hence architect.

A best friend's daughter is testing for entrance to Law School. She will without a doubt be accepted. Her partner is finishing Medical School, btw. She is such a nice woman; it concerns me that she will be going into a very volatile profession. I 'got' what you are saying. oh heck, since it's you

I have very good experience from my few encounters with real rich people. I agree they are good as only that! Not snobs and they tend they come back to the basics and you and me can level with them in a bautiful way. However, the upper middleclass wannabees.... no thank you.
If your dreams are within your capacity then you will not need good luck, you can fulfill your dreams with your hard work. But if your dreams are out of your capacity, then surely you will need good luck along with hard work.
In Greek mythology, Pandora had a box filled with evils. She curiously open the box and all of the evils flew into the world. As the last evil was to fly out, she slammed the box shut and one evil remained—hope.

Nice story
According to story, all the harmful evils have spread in the world, but Hope is not harmful because it is locked in the box.
