Not really an idea, now you can call your local police kontor. Who knows.... perhaps they have an idea.
Second option is to call a 'geek squad' the ones who specialice in computers. Thay should know about tracking. Third and final tip: google it, or check youtube. I can not help, I have a Nokia from 2005.
ooby_dooby: Is there a good way to find a lost phone? What if the phone is turned off? I'm sure we've all been there.
How or if you find it probably depends on the cell phone maker. If power is on but you just misplaced it around you then just dial it with another phone.
If you are talking about losing an apple or other manuf cell phone in the future why not glue something like an apple tracking device to the phone.
All I know is from someone who lost their phone. They called their carrier and ordered a replacement phone...The new phone once activated, had all the info on it from the lost phone. It was an i Phone. I do not know if that makes a difference.

A lot of cell phones' info and other data can be manually or automatically set to backup to the cloud which makes restoration to a replacement phone easier.
