Did I leave anything out?

1. Never shake a man’s hand sitting down.

2. Don’t enter a pool by the stairs.

3. The man at the BBQ Grill is the closest thing to a king.

4. In a negotiation, never make the first offer.

5. Request the late check-out.

6. When entrusted with a secret, keep it.

7. Hold your heroes to a higher standard.

8. Return a borrowed car with a full tank of gas.

9. Play with passion or don’t play at all…

10. When shaking hands, grip firmly and look them in the eye.

11. Don’t let a wishbone grow where a backbone should be.

12. If you need music on the beach, you’re missing the point.

13. Carry two handkerchiefs. The one in your back pocket is for you. The one in your breast pocket is for her.

14. You marry the girl, you marry her family.

15. Be like a duck. Remain calm on the surface and paddle like crazy underneath.

16. Experience the serenity of traveling alone.

17. Never be afraid to ask out the best looking girl in the room.

18. Never turn down a breath mint.

19. A sport coat is worth 1000 words.

20. Try writing your own eulogy. Never stop revising.

21. Thank a veteran. Then make it up to him.

22. Eat lunch with the new kid.

23. After writing an angry email, read it carefully. Then delete it.

24. Ask your mom to play. She won’t let you win.

25. Manners maketh the man.

26. Give credit. Take the blame.

27. Stand up to Bullies. Protect those bullied.

28. Write down your dreams.

29. Take time to snuggle your pets, they love you so much and are always happy to see you.

30. Be confident and humble at the same time.

31. If ever in doubt, remember whose son you are and REFUSE to just be ordinary!

32. In all things lead by example not explanation.

I would add....

Cross your heart when the flag passes you by

At all costs avoid telling a lie. If a lie is necessary make it a white one.

Do things for her without her asking you to do it

Never trust the government.
The police are the enemy of the people. (I'm ex police from years ago before they became politicized).
Learn about your strawman and Common Law.
Never a lender or a borrower be.
Question everything.
Don't trust the mainstream media.
Better still, get rid of your TV and smartphone.
Never get a vaccine the government want you to take. It may cost you your life.
Never get married, live under common law.
Never do harn to another.
Better to die on your feet than live on your knees.
Treat kindly those less fortunate than yourself, you never know if the future may bring you poverty.
Listen to the elderly, they already made the mistakes you will make.

Great list, Gal!

I always tell my boy that any job he does should be fun and passion.
And to never be afraid to change course and pursue new and totally different professional fields.
Never look at life as a battle, it's a dance and the music always changes, just follow the rhythm and learn the new steps.
Stay curious and ready to explore. Life isn't given to us to rest. If you get tired of life you don't live but vegetate ...

This is what I teach both my sons. I want them to respect all females they come in contact with and so far it’s all been good . I hope it will continue as such.

In other words, pay tribute to the imaginary deity you're delusional enough to believe in.

How about:

Always be courteous
First impressions are a big deal
Never hurt your partner, physically, emotionally
Chivalry is a good one too
Never cheat on your partner
Always be honest
Be a good listener
Don't look down on someone unless you are gonna help
Giving a small surprise from time to time

That's all for now.grin

You say in your profile that you are a teacher/professor.

It's a shame that you are in front of a class of children or adults.

Your attitude is not only unpatriotic, it's dangerous.

Do you look them in the eye to revel in their arthritis pain, or are definitive lists as inadequate as egocentric, low self-esteem parenting?

I don't have to teach my kids anything anymore, they are grown adults but they know that I'm always here for them. I'm one very proud Mother, worked all my life and still brought up my 3 lovely kids. That's what we did in my generation grin

One of my favourite songs. A song that I hold dear to my heart . We can't change the past but hopefully can change the future bouquet
