Does anybody know if the 150 - 225 yamahas from the 80s/90s (2stroke) all were V6? Is the Phantom as good a speed boat as I think it is or is Gilbert/Hydrolift better? Further more how important are the two hydraulic Trim tabs at tha rear for the ride smoothness?

bodleing2: Yes definately trim tabs at the rear for a smooth ride...
Right. Was this nice Phantom 18 with a relatively small but good Yamaha 70 for only 2300 Pound Sterling here that tickled my bunny, but now it's gone so maybe next year. Crazy thing is it can take up to 225HP as in ths video

Former First Lady Jacqueline Onassis LOVED speedboats, and could often be seen on lakes and bays in Massachusetts piloting OR water- skiing behind one...Because I'm a water baby I've been on a few. Kinda fun....little scary....must like the wind and water splashing and spraying!!

Yea. Tried waterski rohaan? I don't stand on one yet but can do one on each leg.

There are a couple of things I just can't do--ice skating is one. I tried water-skiing, it was fun, but I wasn't able to do it enough to become good at it.
But my father was very good at ice dancing, being an amateur that is. He could do large nice circles and going backwards and everything. No idea how he larned all that being the macho man he was hehe.
