Inthewoods: I watch DW global news from Berlin Germany, they talk about that regularly, and showed the fires in France, and the low water levels on the Rhine river, its global for sure... I'm not a expert on anything, but it looks like the earth is headed for changing times...
Colorado Springs is experiencing uncontrolled growth, the city leaders think growth is the answer to all the problems, we don't have a river, we rely on snowmelt from the Colorado mountains, what if the snow is less in the future? They charge high rates for water now, tell everyone to save water, so, people remove the grass lawns and put in rock... making the city even hotter... I think the US has too many people, and people need food and water, when will it stop? ... ... ... Yet we have a open border policy now with the new president, and there's a lot of people coming in every day...
I don't know that much, I sit in my house and watch the news, and watch what's happening to my city (And the world) as it rapidly grows, it's sad watching what was once a nice little town become a large city... with all the big city problems...
I better stop... ... I'm drinking ... ... and it's got me thinking...

An interesting read and you don't have to be an expert to realise that the earth is warming up and tides are rising as there is enough evidence out there from experts to make this believable ,but you will always have people on here that know the answer to everything but with no real explanation as to just what is happening.
This is a NASA for kids explanation.so might just help their simple minds.
funtocome: More like "Climate Change Deniers" including all the major petroleum companies worldwide. Now....who do you suppose could be responsible for this coincidence??? Hmmm.....could it be......MONEY??!!
Exactly.
Here's just another article explaining the facts not the fiction.
While Earth’s climate has changed throughout its history, the current warming is happening at a rate not seen in the past 10,000 years.
According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (I.P.C.C.),"Since systematic scientific assessments began in the 1970,s the influence of human activity on the warming of the climate system has evolved from theory to established fact."
Scientific information taken from natural sources (such as ice cores, rocks, and tree rings) and from modern equipment (like satellites and instruments) all show the signs of a changing climate.
From global temperature rise to melting ice sheets, the evidence of a warming planet abounds.

No denier here, you are looking at a very small part of the environmental picture too contributing to climate change. There's a lot more involved than carbon based energy generation.
Critical for Our Future Although discovering that urban trees and soils store more carbon might seem like “a double whammy of a good thing,” Hutyra says, it’s unclear if this boost in carbon uptake will last as the planet continues to warm.
Climate change could exacerbate carbon losses from soil, and the trees at the edge of forests in rural or urban areas could be more vulnerable to extreme heat and drought.
“Forests store almost half of their carbon below ground,” Garvey says. “Which is why understanding the relationships between the soil and the plant life is so vital to understanding the bigger picture of how forests store carbon for the long term.”

" Aug 12, 2022 Even as Brazil pledged to halt deforestation by 2030, wildfires burning across the Amazon rainforest hit a 15-year high in June this year" ... Yes, cut down and burn the rainforests, and plant soybeans... ... There was a longer video, that explained what is happening, this has been going on for around 50 years...

For a better view on what I believe about deforestation and how it is effecting climate change. Forrest stabile the environment globaly in our oceans and atmosphere.
With an open mind, Try watching this 1988 short video about what people were saying then about deforestation

What they were saying 40 years ago has probably changed given what is happening now. If you look around the world and see how much destruction we have caused over the years to plant and animal life ,or instance cutting down forests to grow palm trees and grow soya beans man has to take some responsibility for our changing temperatures.

What is happening now is because what they started then. Because of deforestation, and forest are global climate control, we are contributing to a normal climate cycle (cold to hot) in our atmospheres globally.

Hug a tree today
We are in the middle of a heatwave and it's too hot to go out so I'll have to settle for the dogwood tree in the garden
"This map illustrates the potential for drought by 2039, based on current projections of future greenhouse gas emissions. The map uses the Palmer Drought Severity Index, which assigns positive numbers when conditions are unusually wet, and negative numbers when conditions are unusually dry. A reading of -4 or below is considered extreme drought. Blue or green regions will likely be at lower risk, while those in the red and purple spectrum could face more unusually extreme drought.Courtesy Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews, redrawn by UCAR"
Maybe farm land and crops will become scarce, not good for a over populated planet...
It seems ExxonMobile's multi billion dollar propaganda regime worked so well that even after they admitted (or forced to due to undeniable evidence) their part in the 'cover up', so many people were taken in so much, they still believe it to be true. If it wasnt so serious it would be laughable. But the outcome is, we have lost at least 15 years of tackling the global problem due to Big Oil and their shocking misinformation campaign.
Wake up before it's too late....but maybe it already is.
The climate has flipped hundreds of times in the history of the earth. The greatest plague is humans. Are we the cause? Who knows for sure. Deserts formed long before humans. Ice sheets covered continents. Before humans. Wildfires swept thousands of acres. Now humans record history and notice. The bottom of oceans contain tons of frozen methane. Wonder where that all originated? Countries are filled with poverty stricken masses of humans who struggle any way they can to survive. They burn the jungle, cook with wood, coal, dung. If it grows or walks, it is food. So what if it is the last one, as long as that person is the one to eat it. Now we have Biden and his henchmen with their brilliant new Green Deal. I am surprised they havent banned fuel fired furnaces and air conditioning. Or slapped a huge tax on new ones. While the rest of the world blithely carries on creating mountains of landfill and raping the planet, Americans are supposed to carry the torch. Meanwhile he flies to vacation number 2 and eats high off the hog in his AC offices and homes. Along with the elites that lead. And the word to save us is buy, buy, buy. So we can make more products and trash. But, it will be paid for by taxing the corporations to bring down the inflation. Of course those corps will immediately lay off workers and increase prices. Just hire more IRS employees, arm them and send them out to collect. Shades of the tax revenuers of old taking the milk cow by gun point. I like renaissance fairs, not living in that time period!

I am curious, Disregarding whether russia, china and many other nations may or may not invest in climate control efforts, How much cooler and cleaner will planet earth be for every billion sterling pounds the British government spends on climate change efforts?
I don’t known what the end goal for climate change believers but How much is the united kingdom willing to spend? Has a climate control goal been set and can efforts be sustained if first and second attempts fail?
