lovegirl3San Bernardino, California USA23 Threads 149 PostsAs sad as this is I just saw "Jesus Christ Superstar" the movie yesterday for the first time. I hear alot of people say that it is intended to be a satire of religion, and its supposed to be making fun of Christianity. Maybe Im blind, but I dont see it. Not that Im overly religious or anything, but if anything that movie made me appreciate Christian views more than I did before. The acting was inspired, the music was genius, and the characters were well adapted..... Am I the only one that thinks this is a good movie?

I've watched it a few times. My thought was it was made in the early 70's when we still had the hippy era going on, and it was made sort of in there style to bring them closer to God and Jesus.

Yeah i enjoyed it, it upset a lot of people i remember at the time, fink Martin Scorsese directed.
