Everyone is different and some people benefit from not forcing themselves to eat when their body doesn't need it.
I understand if you have physical activity above the average, as you do, being in the gym early morning.
I honestly can't pass any solid food through my throat in the morning, but I am generous on liquids.

My breakfast isn't always "breakfast food". Sometimes I'll have anything left over from last night's dinner such as cold salmon, sometimes I'll make a sandwich, sometimes I'll have scrambled eggs. It varies.

Poached eggs on sourdough with coffee and apple juice, although that changes with the weather and if I'm elsewhere in the world I'll go for what the locals have
