pedro27: What's more important physical health or mental health?

A broken leg is never a good thing yet I don't really feel the same way about mental illness. It could be a positive and sometimes people are actually more to claim that you are mad. What if you were a genius unappreciated in your own time? You must never assume that you are a genius unappreciated in your own time but this hasn't happened once, it's happened more than once.

Mental health is important because it can help you to: Cope with the stresses of life. Be physically healthy. Have good relationships. Make meaningful contributions to your community. Work productively. Realize your full potential

Bad mental health, is as bad as ancer. But do we invest on research about it???
A person suffering from mental illness will not take care of their physical health. They are more likely to do things that degrade their physical health.
But the two are linked. A physically healthy person will be of more sound mind.

Both, it's been a journey but it's a rewarding one and it's all going well, but you have to have both to have a fulfilling life. Finally found my dream life and with that comes positive changes that are far easier to make...with the right people by your side.
What's more important physical health or mental health?
As some others have said (e.g. Track and DeeDee), I believe that both are important, but not sure equally. The mind is the most powerful part of the whole body - it controls almost everything that the body does (according to Science) and is irreplaceable. However, with organ donations, prosthetics and robotics, many body parts could be strengthened or replaced. So, if I had to choose, then I'd want to have mental health more than physical health.
