Decent_Love: Well, no one else can decide what is right or wrong for someone else, but can discuss it.
Yes but people discussing something they know nothing about (unless they have experienced it) is nothing but making uninformed assumptions and judgements. I don't see the point.
ChesneyChrist: To my mind the better question is the other mother. Will she simply piss off and behave like she hasn't given birth to it? I don't know these things
That's the sticking point that I can see. And not much way around it until they come up with the man-made womb, a manufactured sack in which children are grown external to the body.
For me having a child isn't just a fertilized egg implanted in a friendly environment. The bond that pregnancy creates is the more important part. Maternity instinct kicks off and the body does its work to welcome the new life. I's rather adopt than use someone else's body to create a child that is somehow biologicaly mine but still foreign to my body and mind.

This is what concerns me, the emotions invoked in the carrying mother are beyond her ability to regulate, we are talking about millions of years of nature here. Nature will create a bond between the mother and her child usually..
We have all seen the ultimate power of hormones, a woman who tries to regulate these is inviting a power greater than herself to correct her impertinence, I'm not talking religion here, just my own experience.

Was your experience natural, or was it a surrogate birth ?

I’d never be able to be a surrogate because I just could never give my baby away. I loved both my babies from long before they were even born. From as soon as I knew they’d been conceived.

I believe you would be a natural mother, too bad you're taken
jagtom: I comment on my own experience of the subject, do you have actual experience or is it just something else you don't know about and are getting at me?
The comment you posted was a woman's perspective on surrogacy hence her saying she was not talking from experience and certainly not your own experience.
