Can things get any worse? What happens next? (33)

Jan 5, 2023 11:49 AM CST Can things get any worse? What happens next?
It looks like the global economy is worsening and going further into the tank with Amazon planning to layoff more than 18,000 employees, Meta announced cutting 11,000 jobs, Twitter had announced widespread job cuts and Salesforce is talking about laying of 10% of its staffing. Big Tech is failing.... And all those workers who lost their job constructing the keystone excel pipeline from canada were supposed to get better Hi-Tech jobs with these kind of tech companies. I hope another global war isn't our leaders economic solution for all this.

Where are we headed and who can lead us into prosperous and peaceful times for all?

In my eyes Gals; american poilitics is fouked for quite some time ahead.
Trump will not win in 24 (hope I'm wrong).
Somebody has been milking this war economically.
Besides, as you pointed out, this war can easily be stopped tomorrow.
Very easy too. So that not happeing cos USA wants something, I mean
business people inside your borders do (+ some here in Europe too),
basically didn't mind the crap that is now. The blowing up of the
German-Russian piplines is the proof if you need one.

So personall I am not very optimistic short term.
However, I do like that several countries around the globe, mostly east of us
is now putting their large heads together to try come up with competing
cooperations to challange the western hegemony or wht the hell we should call it.
Some say petro-dollar and other words and I don't know all the terminology,
But I get the gist of it.
And I never thought I'd welcome the Chinese backing of Russia.
If you'd ask me a few years ago I'd say that would be the most scary thing ever.

No one can lead us into prosperous and peaceful times for all. Now is the winter of our discontent, or maybe next winter weather depending. The barbarians are at the gate and it's a great big shit sandwich we're going to have to eat down.

I will be more optimistic about the future when politicians here again gain respect for the other side of the isle and both sides work together to eliminate our 30 trillion + debt.

I was under the impression the 5 who opposed McCarthy was MAGA people and that Trump in the end told them to chill (stand down and stand by) and instead support McCarthy but I may have got it wrong and frankly I don't pay so much attendtion to such details. What is sad is that my frend Trump was rippped from his people in nov 2020.

According to some people, the global economy spends more than about 350% than it produces.

The whole world is down-scaling, with billions jobless in the process. Will it improve after COVID, hardly likely. People are scared of taking chances now. The ones with the Billions are protecting them, expecting the worst still to come. Others are wanting peace and prosperity for all, but the chances are not very good indeed. If the big companies are downsizing drastically, what happens to the man on the street...?

The man on the street has to move over a little, so the next person will have room to pitch their tent along side them. Sad, but true, I believe. I don't foresee things getting better for many of the Earth's inhabitants.

I would highly recommend to review the issues and to make some more advanced research
beyond what is shown in daily TV, newspapers, magazines or what is communicated by the ones who have an interest in their own positions.

:)
