Lots of times I introduce a subject, with the reaction of:-
How dare you
You are so low class
I have no clue what you are referring to

Must I introduce nothing to your jaded pallets...?

Please give me your Honest opinions...

My tastes find certain subjects unpalatable.
Could you serve a sorbet after
I mention them.

I might have a tinned mint
in my handbag.

I would like to suggest to
everyone,
The comments to members about the lack of a partner
from a coupled person are illogical.
Isn't it obvious a dating site has a majority of Single people.

The CS profiles state the "marital status" which can be
read without even logging on.

How about that.

We have enough irrational censorship going on everywhere else, so I would err on the side of non-censorship and risk offending someone. There's that risk every time you say anything of substance to anyone.

I have offended countless of people in my lifetime...
I'm extremely honest, and call a spade a spade
If they censor...it is their loss...

Everything. An honest discussion accepts all sides and failed arguments wither and die.

When did you start this spade strategy?

Regarding topics I think none is off,
as long as it's done in an acceptable way.

U know... confused

"Call a spade a spade" is a figurative expression. It refers to calling something "as it is"—that is, by its right or proper name, without "beating about the bush", but rather speaking truthfully, frankly, and directly about a topic, even to the point of bluntness or rudeness, and even if the subject is considered coarse, impolite, or unpleasant.

The idiom originates in the classical Greek of Plutarch's Apophthegmata Laconica, and was introduced into the English language in 1542 in Nicolas Udall's translation of the Apophthegmes, where Erasmus had seemingly replaced Plutarch's images of "trough" and "fig" with the more familiar "spade". It has appeared in many literary and popular works, including those of Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, Ralph Waldo Emerson, W. Somerset Maugham, and Jonathan Swift.

We have the same expression here Gully, but what I'm implying is that most stay clear of such a wild style. I sometimes wonder of she has knocked her head on something too hard for her own good, but then again... it might be a strategy of defence, weirdly enough. Some type of "grabbing the bull by the horns" thingy.... splash into deep water first as last etc.
Could even be an inti-angst mechanism at play.

Anyhowser, yes I know what a spade is.
Something to rake the leaves with... laugh

I've never met a South African who tries to do things gently. What's not grabbing the bull by the horns about trying to civilise Africa? And who would be so mad as to let go of those horns? No one lets go of the horns without a bloody good exit strategy.

Agreed but don't you think people need to respond in a more dignified and polite manner rather than bad mouthing others just because you disagree with their opinion.

Some of the comments on here are well below the belt to be honest.sigh
