I am not here to meet anyone, they are usually too far away. I just send messages to my friends I’ve met here and once in awhile comment on the forums if there is anything worth commenting on. It’s not a good dating site for sure for me.Good luck.

I came here spring 11, left two years later with a girl from Poland.
We had a lot of fun at blogs back then.
Reentered early summur 21 and is still here now but one day poof,

I am here because friends from an old DOA site came here. We talked in a 60s group. I use a free site like this as my social media. Forums, blogs and pen pals. From what I see, some of us are only here for that.I saw years ago on a couple of sites that the format is flawed. Type in you want within 50 miles and they offer Germany! Say age and get everything from 18 to dead.
It is a problem to meet people. Especially in rural areas. People joined up out of high school or met at jobs. Or churches. Outside of those..then what? That loser in the bar?
Even to make friends is hard. So here we are.

Many years ago there was a really cool chat program called POWOW. It was created by Native Americans and seemed to span the world.It is a problem to meet people. Especially in rural areas. You can still find legacy versions but I have not tested it.
Voice chat, file sharing, even a whiteboard I think.
Try Proton. They have a nice free selection of not only mail but a VPN as well.
Pretty decent reviews and encrypted for security.
Not dating, so dead end there.

There are no women in your age group on forums to start with, never mind your preferable age group.Most of us have been on here for ages and don't see it as a dating playground but more like a family gathering where you can have a good, old argument over just about anything.

That's an accurate impression. For me this is a social media in which we can talk about politics away from friends and more distant family, people I have to work with and so on. It's like a poor man's UN that takes anyone so long as they're a bit knackered. It is the dark underbelly of democracy because it comes from those who have failed to find love amongst their own species - which could happen to anyone. Joining a specifically political forum couldn't happen to anyone, no, it takes a certain type of nerd to do that which I consider to be undemocratic and more like a caste system, too much of a niche.------ This thread is Archived ------
