Ye seem to be in the same boat as we are.... Emergency departments under the cosh....being told to GPs but they are a diminishing breed all over and your lot on strike....certain cohorts of the population have free GP care here and the rest have to pay.....increasing population due to various imports lol common to both but no extra services provided.....being told to stay away from emergency departments and use GP....only difference is all yours are free....bringing in a fee will only keep people away from them as well. Over here there is a charge at the hospital if not referred by a GP....so its swings and roundabouts all round

They are amongst the highest paid white collar workers anyway, i haven't had an appointment with my doctor in four years, we believe he has run away to Spain with his ill gotten gains.
The receptioist at the surgery treats you like an intruder , just tolerating your pleas you are registered with a doctor who is alleged to be there

As we already pay for our national health through taxes, it seems a bit much to pay for ir again, especially as they are all on strike.
