1st off, it wasn't a choice of England. Glasgow was in the "pickings" which is a City in Scotland, a totally different Country than England. You really do need to educate your self regarding the Uk 
And then you wonder why we "Brits" Laugh at Americans 
Us Brits and others from the European Countries " You'd probably not understand all this 
" Have a Contest every year. You can read up on it all if you're interested. Funnily enough, Ukraine won it last year and the Uk came 2nd. The Uk has been at the bottom for years, "I don't even watch it as it's all political" So, as the Ukraine who won, can't host the Eurovision in "their Country" because of the War and the Uk came 2nd, it's now up to the Uk to host the next Eurovision here in the Uk. It's absolutely ridiculous that our Uk Government are going to plough millions into a ridiculous, political bloody contest, rather than give those millions to our NHS, our Doctors, Nurses etc....That work their f*cking arses off every day and night.
