I promised this jesus freak I'd post a link to the third Theory on how Reality came into existence.
He's gone now, if not in spirit then along with all his posts. As far as I could tell, when I looked, he only left one.
It was not the one in which he asks me snidely to share 'my theory, as all his readers would love to hear what I have to say.'
I had asked him a simple question, remind me, do you know why there are only two theories regarding the formation of Reality? I knew he only accepted one but I thought I'd ask anyway. I did not use the word creation because that speaks mostly of The God, and only partially towards The Big Bang. But most see creation as religiously inclined. I do anyway. I accept most people because it is most often used in conjunction with The God. (Not a huge explosion.)
I had hoped with his special one eyed philosophical outlook on existence he might see why only two theories exist, one of which is spoken as being true and the other, hang on both who believe in either accept their version to be true.
I explained there are quite possibly only two because through logic and elimination, having a third theory literally means one of the first two has to be untrue. Just because a third theory was late getting to the party, does not mean it is the one that has to be untrue.
To be fair I had also told him my theory started 'not' with a Singularity, The God or a highly compressed state of matter, but from the basis of empty vacuous space. The other things I told him were just for my amusement, like how mine might scare most people because it would first mean the possibility of having to dismiss everything they had been told to believe is true.
He said the thought of three possibilities also scared him. Maybe that is why he left? Maybe it was just to refresh his faith by sticking his head deeper into the sand?
It is called 'The Focal Point Theory', for those who find the concept of knowing three theories, as opposed to being given a choice of two, as long as you select either as true, more to their liking.
Not sure if it will come up if you google it. Wrinklylove is my pen name. Or email me if you live in Aust or NZ and I will give you the name of that site. The rest of the world is blocked, sorry but not really.
Unfortunately, if you are rather defensive about the theory you have selected from the two choices and numerous joke beliefs you have been delivered during this life, let me remind you, you did not think of either Singularity belief system; you just accepted it because that is what you were told to do. (And everyone has to believe in one or the other. It's not like religion where you get a choice of selections, not a choice of living without it altogether, just which one you select. To be fair you are free not to choose. Most churches see that choice as the open option and often accept each making their final choice on their death bed. Still not the same as living a life without the mere mention of religion or being constantly bombarded with religiously inspired propaganda. But that is the world we each live on. Best make the most of it the way each knows how.)
On the other hand, I did think of mine. I already do not believe what you still believe if for no other reason than, when each of us were first told it, each of us 100% trusted the person telling us. I mean, why would they lie? The way this seems set in stone is by, after that, showing us that we cannot trust another person or what they tell us, ever again.
No one told me I couldn't work it out on my own. They just told me I had to believe what they were telling me. I guess they figured no one would be able to work it out if they already had those two from which to base a third theory. Only thing is, I scrapped both of them and thought about it from a different perspective; starting with why should I believe those who had first told me?
The best part is, I might be wrong but I know at the very least, every second one of you is. W
