...while some do not meet anyone they are interested in who is interested in them.?

I know a man who used to live near me with his wife and children. Couple of years ago they moved away. I met him recently while visiting his new city. He told me he is divorced. His ex wife is engaged to someone else and he has a new girlfriend.

What do you folk think?. It is a serious question

Thanks for reading.

Some are scared of being lonely, they're on the lookout for a backup relationship while still being in one.

Some have already mentally checked out of the relationship well before it ends so they're ready to move on.

A lot of single people are on the lookout for just one relationship, not a back up, and can't find it but some can find a backup.. It is similar to how people can move from one job to another while others stay unemployed. That is mostly nepotism though

That is what I find interesting
Makes me wonder about the quality of the relationship they.jump into to avoid loneliness.

Thanks for your input

Every person is different and so is every relationship
After one relationship it took me years to date again after another one it was just a few months.

I had a friend that just went from partner to partner with sometimes just weeks apart she just really needed to have someone in her life other people are happy to be single

Don't you think it would be interesting to find out how they do it?. Is it something about their personalities, do they have a large social group around them.?

It's related to "pathos"---an inconsequential view of one's actions. Think of the word "apathetic". Some folks glide through life using other people as stepping stones or ports in a storm, developing no real emotional connection. It occurs frequently, and often they are able to disguise it, as in passive-aggressive behavior and related negative personality traits--emotional blackmail comes to mind. And, I'm not too keen on "moving on and staying" , after discovering someone you love is, or has, cheated. They're going to do it again....

hate to break it to ya....folks, but it's the way it is....teddybear

It's not that they move to the next relationship quickly or easily, they have moved on in their minds long before they leave so no real attachment to the people they are with.
