I think maybe it all depends on what " mature " is defined by, that can go deep, I prefer someone closer to my own age but not much older as I don't want to just rock in a rocking chair!!! But I also want my male to be seasoned, been there done that type but still wants to keep living a life not just settling. I will bet I confused you didn't I?

Maybe because we are older and want someone who shares our memories. Maybe because American men have a tendency to not grow up until 40!
Or never. The younger generations are messed up. They are entitled to have everything given to them without working for it.
It is a sad statement of people these days when finding a hard worker who isnt afraid of work even if it means getting their hands dirty is something one notices. WOW! That 18 year old man is a mechanic, that 25 year old is a plumber, a farmer, a auto tech, carpenter or whatever.
We want a man, not a mamas boy. And unfortunately, that usually means an older gen man. Same goes for women. Women that are younger want to be taken care of, not the old fashioned wife.
Older mean maturity in thought, stability, knowledge, and someone who knows who they are, where they are and what they are. Not that every man is that of any age.
