Anyone had reset surgery and would like to tell their story on how it went, how quick, and recovery time?

Am guessing it is alot quicker than years gone by. Any information would be helpful as first hand knowledge is always the best. Were you asleep during the procedure? Number of drops prescribed and were you assisted in putting the drops in daily or is it easy to do it by yourself?

I had cataract surgery on both eyes four years ago at two different times. I've had knee replacements and wasn't scared but the idea of cutting into my eye was petrifying. I was awake but unable to do anything with my eye because the doctor used something to hold my eye open. I had to wear a patch over my eye even when I slept. It helps if you are an organized person because you need to put drops in your eyes several times a day for many days. I didn't have any help to do that. You will have a chart that shows different times of each day which will help you to keep track of the drops. Before the surgery I had to wear glasses every minute of the day. After the surgery I only need glasses for driving and watching tv. Usually there is no choice of whether to do it or not because if you don't do it you will go blind.

Great comment. Only thing I could add is that my ma had hazel eyes and after the procedure the color was bluer than hazel. Never had a doctor's visit except for this. Now ears ... lol.
