I do have sympathy for the local Budweiser distributors. They had nothing to do with that stupid advertising decision and they don't agree with it. And their employees will be out of jobs soon as a result.
Anheuser-Busch InBev(A Belgian conglomerate) is in trouble because it is on the wrong side of the demographic curve in the USA. Younger Generations (Millennials and Z) are abstaining or drinking less, and if they do drink beer, it's likely to be craft beer, hard seltzer or spirits. They just don't like the big brands like the oldies do.
The Belgian Company InBev bought out Anheuser Bush in 2008. They only wanted the beer making facilities and sold off the amusement parks (Bush Gardens, Sea World) to the Universal Studios group. It is not an American owned company.

The embattled brew — along with all but one Anheuser-Busch beer — was left off the map. That’s right. No Bud Light. No Budweiser. Nada.
We have 50 states in this country and it appears the only thing they can agree on was NOT drinking Bud Light for the Fourth of July.
Bud Light sales continue to plummet and nobody is drinking it
Not great! I don’t know for sure how this map would’ve looked before Dylan Mulvaney, but I’d imagine Bud Light would’ve likely dominated it. After all, there’s a reason it was America’s top-selling beer for two decades straight.

Clearly the folks up in the Pacific Northwest don’t care about Dylan Mulvaney, but that’s to be expected.
