depends on the abundance of poor. The true altruists are those working for minimum wage, giving their time and energy to make the rich, richer. Sam Walton is a prime example. Paws
Not meant to brag, but I make under $12,000 a year right now and I'm living like a king.
I have financial potential though that I'm simply not interested in tapping by myself. If someone else came into my life and was interested in mammon I have the resources to satisfy her desires. I could easily become a millionaire if I so desired. I seriously have no desire. Mammon never just has been a motivating factor in my life.
I'd rather listen to the songbirds whilst hoeing my garden.
Yes I agee the debt load these days is phenominal and that's just to live....combined with the fact that it basicly takes two incomes today JUST to get by...Here I was speaking with a friend of mine who is a financial advisor and he told me that the debt to income ratio is something like 1.32!!!! So for every dollar we make we spend $1.32....scary!!!!!!!
The average 3 bdrm house in my area is 350,000. Vancouver to the west is 3 times that, as is Calgary to the east. Real estate prices are sky rocketing out in western Canada.
It really depends on the area.... here to buy you are looking at probably about 100,000 and up....In Toronto however you are looking at probably more like 200,000 and up!!!!!!!
