Ok, I will give this a shot. While I think that in general, kids always get the short end of the stick from society, I personally have, and still do, put everything I have into mine, and what they have become, makes it worth all of it. There was a time when I was so broke that only the kid ate every day. When the food budget got low, I didn't really, and it went on for a couple of weeks every month. (Yes, as long as you have water, a person can survive for a very long time without solid food.) For some reason, didn't really bother me. Maybe because I actually LOVE my kids, and take my responsibility as their mother seriously.
