I think a large part is your personality and it takes awhile to get to know someone...I think once that person got to know you and trust you then the picture probably isnt going to matter as much...The key is taking the time to get to know someone before asking them to meet!!!

Why would I respond to someone I didn't find attractive? Or, for that matter, someone who does not consider themselves attractive?

I have met a couple of people without seeing photos of them first ... and I met a couple who looked nothing like their photos.
My favourite has to be the man - with photo - who was 45 when he set the date but arrived at 57 .... like I wouldn't notice
