Thing is, this guy that I'm talkin to that I went out with once like 3 weeks ago still calls about every other day just to see what I'm doin, how I'm doin, if I need anything. Tells me what he's been up to,etc. We talked about just being friends for now, but he's kinda sendin me mixed signals. Cause every now and then he's like "maybe more" but we haven't gone out since that one time. We've had like a billion phone convos tho. I really like him, but don't think I should push the issue and lose him totally. What do you guys think of this? and you girls?

Not to burst your bubble, but here is my hypothesis: He is interested in someone else as well. He is keeping you close enough that you don't lose interest. Yet at the same time not commited to you if things fall through with the other interest.

Actually you are sending out mixed messages.
What issue do you not want to push?....that you don't want to go out with him or you are afraid of losing a friend if you do?
Obviously he likes you alot and you never know..he might just be willing to be a good friend regardless if it goes any farther. Actually, the best relationships start off with building a solid friendship first. If you two decide to give it a chance later, at least you would of built a friendship first and will still have one if it doesn't work.
Just be clear to him how you feel so there are no misunderstandings. If he really does care then he will respect that and be your friend regardless. Win/win

We had agreed that no matter what, if it didn't work out there would be no hard feelings and we would still be good friends. We dated for 5 months and got along great except we just were better friends than lovers. To this day he is one of my very best friends.
