Hmm, interesting points.
Can't say I've been taken advantage of by any women on this site (!). Seriously though, your sister's lucky to have gotten rid of him, although unfortunately it seems the problem ( him ) has just moved elsewhere.
I think the points are perhaps a little seperate, really. I mean 27 years doesn't compare to a comparitively brief intro. on a site like this. In the former situation, it was extreme bad luck I guess.
Regarding Websites for dating etc., I don't think the risk is necessarily greater, I can say from a fella's point of view though that it does act as a scammer-magnet. Webcams are usually a good sussing - out device, and usually when "Kisses" appears as a sign off initially you just know a request for the price of a flight is coming.
As someone once said "If you want a guarantee, buy a toaster". I think that's pretty well where it's at!

This is what I say about pics of people on dating sites, "he is handsome as far as the pic goes." Sometimes those pics go back quite a few years and sometimes they are fake. Mine was taken this summer, thanks for all the compliments that I look younger.
I wouldn't want to feel too intense to quick either. I am very leary when people start talking too intense too soon now. Maybe it just happens because people get lonely and love craved. I think it is like driving a car...be careful, look and listen and don't drive too fast.

My sister was married to a man for over 27 years, then for no reason he left her for a woman that he met in a chat room like this.
The woman that he is with now really knows nothing about him, only what he tells her.
He drinks alot and can get violent when he is drinking. Not to mention we later found out that he had been molesting their teenage daughter. Before charges could be brought on him he fled the area and we do not know where he is at now. All we do know is what was found on his computer that he left behind.
I guess the reason that I am writing this is to tell all of you to be very careful and to do a background check on anyone you plan to meet from dating sites. These days it is easy to do a background check. Most of them cost very little. No matter what the cost it is worth it for the safety of you and your children if you have any.
