Thanks for all your offers but I think I am going to simply stay here in Houston because i don't think I can handle the trip and even my mom agrees. Besides, M D Anderson is the best cancer facility in the world and who better to give me a fighting chance.
It's getting harder and harder to get around and I hate to drive in this condition.
I want to thank you for your offers of help, it means the world me and I am deeply touched by your selflessness. I am seeing the wonderful acts of kindness that have made me realize that if they are willing to fight for me than I must do the same.

Best of luck Melanie. I'm too far away to offer anything but e-mail and a shoulder to cry on should you need it, or just someone to rant and rave at about the unfairness of it all. I've been there and done that, caring for my dad and then my husband, losing them within one year almost to the day of each other. E-mail me if you ever need someone to talk to.
